Plenty of driving schools will say a female instructor is available. In practice that often means one instructor, sometimes, subject to scheduling. Maryam Driving School teaches only women and girls, and every instructor is a woman, so the question does not arise.
The reason is practical rather than symbolic. A learner who is at ease will say "I did not understand that", ask to repeat a manoeuvre an eighth time, and admit when she is frightened of a particular junction. A learner who feels awkward nods along and stays quiet, and the gap surfaces weeks later as a habit that has to be unlearned.
For many families in Abbottabad and Mansehra it is also simply what makes driving lessons possible. That is worth stating plainly rather than dancing around.
Your first lesson involves very little driving. You sit in the car, learn where everything is, and practise starting, moving off and stopping in a quiet area. It feels slow and it is meant to.
From there the sequence is steering and braking until they are smooth, hill starts (unavoidable in Abbottabad), then turns, reversing and parking. Real traffic comes last, once the car itself no longer occupies all your attention.
Progress is paced to the learner, not to a timetable. Repeating something eight times is how it becomes yours, and nobody is pushed ahead to keep a schedule moving.
Maryam Driving School was founded in 2016 by Mam Maryam, who leads it. The women-focused approach — female instructors only, patient pacing, practical road training — is hers, and it is why the school exists in the form it does.
Beyond that, we deliberately do not publish invented biography or credentials. Mam Maryam founded the school in 2016 and still teaches. She now leads a team of five female instructors, all trained in-house.
Yes. Every lesson at Maryam Driving School is taught by a female driving instructor. The school works only with women and girls and has done so since 2016.
Always. There is no arrangement where a male instructor teaches instead when a woman is unavailable. It is the basis the school operates on.

Yes. The Mansehra location at Dub, Dhangri Chowk works the same way, with female instructors only.
A family member is welcome to sit in on your first lesson if that makes you more comfortable.
Each lesson builds on the last. Beginners start with the controls in a quiet area, then steering and braking, then hill starts, turns, reversing and parking, and finally real road driving. Nothing moves forward until the stage before it is comfortable.
